Pharmacy Relocation Movers in Jeddah
A pharmacy move is a stock-control exercise with furniture attached. Wathab relocates pharmacies in Jeddah with sealed numbered stock, cold-chain items moved last, shelving rebuilt to your planogram, and the counter standing before you reopen.
Stock first, fixtures second
The order that keeps a pharmacy accountable.
A pharmacy carries more individually tracked items per square metre than almost any other retail unit in Jeddah. Everything behind the counter is counted, batched and dated, and a carton that cannot be located is not an inconvenience — it is a reconciliation problem.
For that reason the sequence we use is the reverse of a shop fit-out. Stock comes off the shelves and into a sealed, numbered series before a single bracket is unscrewed, and the series is signed for by your staff. Only once the stock is accounted for do the shelving runs, the counter and the displays come apart.
The practical benefit shows up at the far end. Because the cartons were filled shelf by shelf and labelled with the shelf they came from, restocking the new unit follows your existing layout instead of becoming a sorting exercise on reopening morning.
Cold chain and controlled items
The two categories that set the schedule.
Two classes of stock decide when a pharmacy can move at all. Refrigerated lines cannot sit in an unpowered vehicle or an unpowered room, and controlled items cannot be handled casually by anyone.
Refrigerated lines
Loaded last, unloaded first, and only moved once the destination fridge is installed, powered and confirmed running. If the new unit has no power on moving day, this stock does not move that day.
Controlled and high-value items
Boxed and sealed by your own staff, carried in the cab rather than the load bed, and handed over directly to a named person. Our crew transports; your team retains custody.
Temperature-sensitive but ambient
Lines that must stay below a stated temperature travel in the insulated part of the load and are never left standing in the sun during loading.
General OTC and consumables
Boxed by shelf run, numbered and sealed, with the shelf reference written on the carton so restocking follows the planogram.
Tell us at survey which fridges are staying, which are moving and which are being replaced. The answer changes the whole schedule, because a pharmacy that is buying a new fridge for the new unit can move much earlier than one that is relocating the existing one.
Shelving, counters and the dispensing area
What comes apart, and how it goes back.
Pharmacy shelving is modular and comes down quickly, but it only goes back up quickly if it was labelled on the way down. Our crews bundle each run with its own brackets and uprights, numbered to the wall position it came from, so the new unit can be built to the same arrangement rather than reinvented.
The dispensing counter and the back-of-counter racking are usually built in place. Our carpenters dismantle them panel by panel, keep fixings with their panel and rebuild at the new address. Where the new unit has a shorter wall, a panel may need cutting or a section omitting — we identify that at survey, before anything is stripped.
| Element | How it travels | Rebuilt by us |
|---|---|---|
| Wall shelving runs | Bundled by run, brackets kept with the run | Yes, to the same arrangement |
| Gondola and island units | Dismantled to uprights and shelves | Yes |
| Dispensing counter | Dismantled panels, flat-packed | Yes, where the new wall allows |
| Back-of-counter racking | Dismantled, numbered to position | Yes |
| Refrigerated display units | Moved whole, upright, drained of condensate | Positioned; connection by your contractor |
| Illuminated signage | Removed and boxed | Delivered; mounting on request |
Electrical connection, fridge commissioning and anything behind a distribution board is for your licensed contractor. We move and position; we do not connect.
Moving without losing trading days
Three schedules pharmacies actually use.
A pharmacy in a residential district has customers who will walk to the next one if the shutter is down. Minimising closure matters commercially, not just operationally.
Overnight changeover
Stock out after closing, fixtures through the night, restock before opening. Works when both units are already under your tenancy and access is available at both ends.
Weekend move
Two quieter days used for a full strip and rebuild, with reopening on the normal trading day. The most common choice.
Stock-first staged move
Slow-moving lines go into storage ahead of time, the new unit is fitted out at normal pace, and the fast-moving stock crosses last. Best when there is a gap between leases.
Whichever you choose, the thing that actually determines the closure length is how well-labelled the stock was, not how fast the crew works. That is why the labelling is done our way rather than improvised.
Pharmacy moving prices in Jeddah
Official Wathab pricing, in Saudi riyals.
| Scope | Price (SAR) |
|---|---|
| Dabab run — a few fixtures or a stock transfer | 80 – 250 |
| Kiosk or single-room pharmacy | 350 – 600 |
| Small pharmacy, two-room equivalent | 500 – 900 |
| Mid-size pharmacy, three-room equivalent | 800 – 1,400 |
| Large pharmacy, four to five room equivalent | 1,200 – 1,900 |
| Pharmacy with stockroom, small-villa equivalent | 1,500 – 2,500 |
| Multi-floor or warehouse-backed pharmacy | 2,500 – 4,000 |
Dismantling and reassembly is quoted separately: 150 – 300 SAR for a bedroom-sized unit, 100 – 250 SAR for a sliding or flat-pack wardrobe, 200 – 400 SAR for an aluminium kitchen and 400 – 900 SAR for a full apartment package. Storage is 150 – 300 SAR a month for one to two rooms, 250 – 450 SAR for an apartment-sized load and 400 – 800 SAR for a villa-sized load.
What moves the price inside its band is access and hours, not stock value: whether the vehicle can stand at the door, whether the work must happen outside trading hours, and whether a stockroom on another level is involved. All of it is settled at the free survey and written down first. See our cost calculator for a first estimate.
If the new unit is not ready
Using storage instead of improvising.
Pharmacy fit-outs slip. When the new unit is not finished and the old lease is ending, the practical answer is to split the move: fixtures and slow-moving stock go into storage, the fit-out finishes without a loaded unit in the way, and the fast-moving lines cross directly on reopening week.
Monthly storage is 150 – 300 SAR for a one to two room load, 250 – 450 SAR for an apartment-sized load and 400 – 800 SAR for a villa-sized load. Refrigerated lines are the exception — they are not stored, they are moved only when the destination fridge is running. See our storage service for how units are allocated.
Reopening checklist
What we hand over against.
- Every numbered stock carton present and ticked off against the series your staff hold.
- Shelving runs rebuilt to the same arrangement, with each run in the wall position it was numbered to.
- Dispensing counter standing, with any cut or omitted panel recorded in writing.
- Refrigerated units in position, levelled, drained and ready for your contractor to connect.
- Controlled and high-value items handed directly to the named person on your side, signed for.
- Packing waste removed from the unit rather than left in the service corridor.
Anything we could not complete is written down and handed to you before the crew leaves, with the reason. Related services: corporate relocation, professional packing and appliance moving for fridges and cold units.
What we need before quoting
Six answers that fix the price.
- Unit size by room equivalent, and whether there is a separate stockroom on another level.
- Which refrigerated units are moving, staying or being replaced — and when the new fridge will be powered.
- Whether the premises sit in a centre with permitted goods hours, a goods lift or a booking system.
- Your preferred closure window: overnight, weekend, or staged.
- Whether the dispensing counter and back racking are to be rebuilt or replaced.
- Who on your side will hold the stock series and receive controlled items.
With those answers the survey produces a written, fixed price and a schedule that matches your trading pattern rather than our convenience. Also see moving outside Jeddah if the new branch is in another city.

Pharmacy relocation in Jeddah — frequently asked questions
What pharmacy owners and managers in Jeddah ask us before booking.
Many close for a single night or a weekend. The length depends far more on how well the stock was labelled than on crew speed, which is why we box shelf by shelf with the shelf reference written on the carton.
It is loaded last and unloaded first, and it only moves once the destination fridge is installed, powered and confirmed running. If the new unit has no power on moving day, refrigerated lines stay where they are until it does.
Your team retains custody. Those items are boxed and sealed by your own staff, carried in the cab rather than the load bed, and handed over directly to a named person on your side who signs for them.
Yes. Each run is bundled with its own brackets and uprights and numbered to the wall position it came from, so the new unit is built to the same arrangement rather than reinvented on the day.
Yes, where the new wall allows it. It is dismantled panel by panel with fixings kept per panel and rebuilt on site. If a panel will need cutting because the new wall is shorter, we tell you at survey, before anything is stripped.
Our standard scale applies: 350 – 600 SAR for a kiosk or single-room pharmacy, 500 – 900 SAR small, 800 – 1,400 SAR mid-size, 1,200 – 1,900 SAR large and 2,500 – 4,000 SAR for a multi-floor or warehouse-backed unit. Dismantling and reassembly is separate and the survey is free.
No. We move them upright, drained of condensate, and position and level them. Electrical connection and commissioning is for your licensed contractor, and we plan the day so the units are in place before that visit.
Yes, for ambient lines. Storage is 150 – 300 SAR a month for a one to two room load, 250 – 450 SAR for an apartment-sized load and 400 – 800 SAR for a villa-sized load. Refrigerated lines are never stored — they move only when the destination fridge is running.
