Perfume and cosmetics shop movers in Jeddah
A perfume shop is not just fixtures. It is heat-sensitive stock, fragile glass and illuminated display units. We move the whole shop with a signed inventory, protected stock and overnight crews inside shopping malls where required.
Short answer: how a perfume or cosmetics shop is moved
A shop move runs in three layers rather than one. Stock first, because it is the most valuable and the most sensitive. Display units and glass second. Fixed fittings and counters third. Each layer has its own packing method, its own route and its own timing. Stock is inventoried into numbered boxes and carried in a closed vehicle away from the hottest hours; glass display units are dismantled and wrapped separately from their lighting. Pricing follows a free survey of the shop and its contents, and the quote is issued in writing before work begins.
Stock first: why it is unlike any other goods
The heart of this page, and the part most often neglected.
Heat is the enemy of fragrance
Perfume reacts to high temperature and direct sun. We move it in a closed vehicle, avoid the hottest hours, and never leave boxes standing in the open during loading.
Bottles travel upright, not lying down
A bottle on its side is far more likely to seep past its cap. Boxes are filled with cardboard dividers between bottles rather than loose padding.
Testers and opened units
Opened units are isolated in their own sealed boxes, because one leak ruins an entire box of sealed stock.
Cosmetics and creams
Also heat-sensitive, and some change texture. They travel under the same conditions as fragrance and are unloaded immediately on arrival rather than left in the vehicle.
Inventory before and after
Stock is counted into numbered boxes, the list is handed to the shop manager, and it is checked again at unloading. Stock is the highest value in the shop and never moves without paperwork.
Small boxes beat big ones
A small full box is safer than a large half-empty one, and easier to carry, count and stack without crushing.
Display units, glass and lighting
The second layer, and the one most likely to break.
- Glass fronts are removed from their frames and carried upright between foam boards, never left inside the unit.
- Glass shelves are wrapped individually and labelled with unit name and shelf number, because sizes are close and easily confused.
- LED strips and transformers are disconnected, coiled and labelled, never left hanging from a unit in transit.
- Illuminated mirrors are treated as glass, not furniture: a timber frame or foam, and always carried upright.
- Timber units are separated at the joints and flat-packed, numbered against a drawing made before dismantling.
- Handles and fixings are bagged and taped to their own piece rather than pooled in one shared box.
Working inside a shopping mall
Mall rules govern the schedule more than the fixtures do.
Most perfume and cosmetics shops in Jeddah sit inside malls, and the mall sets the terms: defined loading hours, usually after the shops close; a specific service door rather than the main entrance; a goods lift with fixed dimensions and load limits; named access passes for crew; and explicit prohibitions such as dragging anything across the floor or leaving packing material in the corridors.
So we start with mall management rather than with the shop: we obtain the conditions in writing, build the schedule around them, and submit crew names in advance. Planning on the assumption that the work can be done during the day inside a mall is the single most common reason retail moves fail.
The counter and fixed fittings
The third layer, and the heaviest.
The main counter is usually built on site or assembled from three sections, and it contains drawers, a cash drawer, power runs and point-of-sale cabling. We isolate the power first, then dismantle the counter at its joints after photographing and numbering it, and we wrap the customer-facing front with particular care, because that is the surface shoppers see and any scuff shows immediately.
Point-of-sale terminals, printers and barcode scanners are disconnected, moved in their own cases and handed over against signature, never left inside counter drawers during transit.
Prices for moving, dismantling and installation
The published list is the basis.
| Move size | Price range (SAR) | What the price covers |
|---|---|---|
| Dyna / few items | 80 – 250 | Loading, unloading and securing inside the truck |
| Studio or single room | 350 – 600 | Bed and wardrobe dismantling, packing, transport, reassembly |
| Two-bedroom flat | 500 – 900 | Full dismantling and assembly plus glass and mirror packing |
| Three-bedroom flat | 800 – 1,400 | Larger crew, full packing and placement at the new address |
| Four to five bedrooms | 1,200 – 1,900 | Two or more trucks and a separate assembly team |
| Small villa | 1,500 – 2,500 | Phased move with majlis and appliance packing |
| Large villa | 2,500 – 4,000 | Extended crew, scheduled over more than one day if needed |
These ranges are the basis for moving, dismantling and installation. Perfume and cosmetics shops are quoted after a free survey covering stock volume, number of display units and mall conditions, and the quote is issued in writing.

How the moving night is sequenced
An order that saves hours.
Before closing: preparation
Boxes and materials staged inside the shop during trading hours, without disturbing customers.
Straight after closing: stock
Stock is packed and counted first, because it is the most valuable and the crew is at its freshest.
Mid-night: glass and displays
Units, glass and lighting dismantled against numbering and a drawing.
Late: counter and fixed fittings
The heaviest pieces last, when the shop is empty and the route is clear.
Unloading at the new unit
Reverse order: fixed fittings, then displays, then stock, so stock goes straight into its final position.
Handover
Inventory checked and signed with the shop manager before the crew leaves.
Dismantling, installation and storage
Separate lines.
| Dismantling and assembly job | Price range (SAR) |
|---|---|
| Complete bedroom set | 150 – 300 |
| Sliding wardrobe or IKEA wardrobe | 100 – 250 |
| Aluminium kitchen | 200 – 400 |
| Whole-flat dismantling and assembly package | 400 – 900 |
Standalone dismantling and installation prices. On a shop move they are combined with transport into a single quote.
| Volume stored | Monthly rent (SAR) |
|---|---|
| One to two rooms of contents | 150 – 300 |
| A full flat | 250 – 450 |
| A villa | 400 – 800 |
Monthly storage includes basic wrapping and a photographed inventory at intake.
If the new unit is not ready, we store display units and fittings numbered and inventoried. See corporate furniture storage.
What we will not do with stock
Clear limits that protect both sides.
We do not open shrink-wrapped units, and we do not rearrange goods inside boxes after the count, because any change after signature makes the list worthless. We do not take custody of stock without a prior count, and we do not leave stock boxes in the vehicle after arrival, not even for an hour. If we are asked to move during peak afternoon heat without a closed vehicle, we set out the risk to the fragrance in writing before proceeding.
What we need for an accurate quote
Five items.
- The current and new locations, and the mall name for each where applicable.
- The mall conditions in writing: loading hours, service door, goods lift, access passes.
- An estimate of stock volume, in boxes or filled shelves.
- The number of display units and whether they contain glass and integrated lighting.
- Whether the counter is site-built or demountable, and whether it is moving with you.
Perfume and cosmetics shop moving questions
What shop owners in Jeddah ask.
Yes, and stock is the first thing we handle because it is the most valuable and the most sensitive. It is counted into numbered boxes, carried in a closed vehicle away from the hottest hours, and unloaded immediately on arrival.
A closed vehicle, avoiding peak heat hours, never leaving boxes standing in the open during loading, and unloading on arrival rather than leaving it to the morning.
Upright, never lying down, with cardboard dividers between units, in small full boxes rather than large half-empty ones. Testers and opened units are isolated in sealed boxes.
Yes, and it is the usual arrangement because most malls permit loading only after the shops close. We obtain the mall conditions in writing and build the schedule around them.
Yes. Glass is removed from its frame and carried upright between foam boards, and each shelf is labelled with its unit name and shelf number because sizes are close and easily mixed up.
LED strips and transformers are disconnected, coiled and labelled, never left hanging from a unit, because pulling on them tears the connections.
Yes, a numbered box list handed to the shop manager, checked at unloading and signed before the crew leaves.
Yes, disconnected and moved in its own cases with a separate signature, never left inside counter drawers in transit.
Yes, numbered and inventoried. Monthly storage starts at SAR 150 for one to two rooms of contents and scales with volume.
Usually a single working night after closing, provided the mall conditions and access passes are in place beforehand. The inventory and the permits set the duration more than the fixtures do.
