Law Firm and Consultancy Office Movers in Jeddah
A legal practice does not move furniture. It moves files that must not be opened. We move both — sealed, numbered and signed for.
What a practice relocation costs and when it happens
Relocating a law firm or consultancy in Jeddah starts at SAR 800 for a small two-room office and reaches SAR 1,900 for a mid-sized practice of four to five rooms. Larger multi-floor premises are priced above that after a survey. The work is normally carried out from Thursday evening through the weekend, so the office opens for clients on the first working day as if nothing had happened.
What separates a legal practice from any other office is not the furniture. It is the paper. Client files, engagement letters and documents on live matters need treatment that has nothing in common with cartons of stationery: sealed boxes, numbering, a signed manifest, and no box opened except in the presence of the principal or someone they authorise.
Files and archive: the rule we do not bend
Every box numbered, every number on a manifest, every manifest signed.
Numbered before it is sealed
Each box gets a number recorded against the cabinet or shelf it came from and the destination in the new premises. Contents are never written on the outside of a box.
Sealed with security tape
Tape that shows any attempt to open it. This is not theatre — it is what gives the manifest meaning.
Sequence preserved
Files travel in the order they sat in the cabinet and return to the new cabinet in the same order. Re-indexing after a move is weeks of work; avoiding it costs half an hour of attention on the day.
Handover by count
At the unload the manifest is checked box by box in front of the principal and signed. What is not checked is not delivered.
Live matters stay with you
Files for imminent hearings and active matters do not go on the truck. They travel with a fee earner or office manager in a private car. We give that advice to every practice we work with.
Published price table
The same rates used across all Wththab services.
| Size of the move | Price in SAR |
|---|---|
| Pickup / single items | 80 – 250 |
| Studio or one room | 350 – 600 |
| Two-bedroom apartment | 500 – 900 |
| Three-bedroom apartment | 800 – 1,400 |
| Four to five bedrooms | 1,200 – 1,900 |
| Small villa | 1,500 – 2,500 |
| Large villa | 2,500 – 4,000 |
A two-room office sits in the two-bedroom band; a four-room practice in the four-to-five band. Carpentry and packing materials are quoted separately.

The law library
Legal volumes are heavier than anyone who has not carried them expects.
The library is the heaviest element in a legal practice and the one non-specialists get wrong most often. Law reports, encyclopaedias and bound periodicals weigh several times what ordinary books of the same size weigh, and a single carton filled to the top can exceed twenty-five kilograms.
Our rule: books and bound volumes go in small cartons only, filled to about three quarters, with the base reinforced by two crossed strips of tape before packing rather than after. A large carton packed with law reports tears out of its own base during the carry, and that is the most frequent incident in legal office moves.
The shelving itself is emptied completely before it is dismantled and is never carried loaded, however stable it looks. Metal library shelving comes apart into panels and uprights, the panels are strapped together, and everything is numbered because reassembly depends on the original order.
Meeting rooms and client reception
The first thing a client sees is the last thing installed, so it is planned first.
The boardroom table
The top always separates from the base. The face is wrapped in a blanket then card. A polished top scratches on any metal contact, so it never leans directly against the body wall.
Reception seating
Leather sofas and chairs go into full bags rather than blankets alone, because leather holds dust and is difficult to clean without leaving a mark.
Certificates and admissions
Framed practising certificates and licences come down individually, are wrapped one by one and travel upright. These are items with no replacement if the glass breaks onto the document.
Steel filing cabinets
Emptied completely, drawers taped shut, lifted from the base and never by a drawer. A loaded cabinet can exceed a hundred kilograms.
IT and network
Every machine travels with its cables in a bag labelled with its user. The back of the router and switch is photographed before disconnection, which turns reconnection into minutes instead of an hour.
The safe
Emptied of documents first, then moved on a dedicated trolley with extra hands, and quoted after we have seen a photograph and know the floor.
Scheduling around the hearing list
A legal practice cannot afford two closed days.
The question partners ask is not the price, it is the downtime. The practical answer: a two to three room practice is moved, reassembled and usable in one full day. A four to five room practice needs a day for loading and unloading and half a day for assembly and setting out.
That is why we prefer to start after close of business on Thursday. Loading happens that evening, unloading and assembly the following morning, and the office opens at the start of the week. The arrangement costs the same and carries no weekend surcharge.
Where there are hearings in the same week, the files for those matters are loaded last and delivered first at the new premises, so they are immediately to hand rather than buried in the middle of a stack of boxes.
Furniture, partitions and counters
What we handle end to end.
| Job | Price in SAR |
|---|---|
| Full bedroom set | 150 – 300 |
| Sliding or IKEA wardrobe | 100 – 250 |
| Aluminium kitchen | 200 – 400 |
| Whole-apartment package | 400 – 900 |
Disassembly includes reassembly. Office carpentry is priced on the same published table as residential work because the operation is the same.
Office partitions and built-in counters are dismantled with every panel numbered, because reassembling them in a different order leaves gaps that will not close. See carpentry services.
Archive storage
When the new premises are smaller, which they often are.
| Volume stored | Monthly rate in SAR |
|---|---|
| One to two rooms | 150 – 300 |
| Apartment contents | 250 – 450 |
| Villa contents | 400 – 800 |
Monthly billing. Boxes enter numbered and sealed and leave against the same manifest.
Many practices move to a smaller suite and keep the older archive outside it. Monthly storage costs far less than renting the extra square metres in an office building. See office storage and corporate storage.
Building rules decide the plan
The most common cause of a failed office move in Jeddah is not the truck.
Most legal practices in Jeddah sit in office buildings, and office buildings have rules: fixed windows for the service lift, notification to building management a day or two in advance, and sometimes a reserved truck bay in the basement. We ask about all three during the survey, because ignoring them is the single biggest reason an office move stalls.
If the new suite is on an upper floor and the service lift will not take the large pieces, an external hoist is used instead. That is planned in advance, not discovered on the morning.
We also ask for one named person from the practice who will be present to sign the manifest. A move with no one authorised to sign is a move with no proof of delivery.
What we need before the survey
Five answers that remove half a day of uncertainty.
- Room count and number of floors, and whether there is a service lift at both addresses.
- Approximate number of filing cabinets and metres of library shelving.
- Whether there is a safe, roughly what it weighs and which floor it sits on.
- The handover date for the old premises if a lease is ending.
- The name of one person from the practice who will sign the delivery manifest.
Law firm and consultancy relocation questions
What practice managers ask before booking.
From SAR 800 for a small two-room office to SAR 1,900 for a four to five room practice, confirmed in writing after a free survey.
No. They are sealed with security tape and numbered, and are opened only in the presence of the principal at handover.
Usually no working day at all, if the move runs from Thursday evening. A four-room practice needs a day plus half a day for assembly.
Yes, once emptied of documents, on a dedicated trolley with additional crew. Priced after a photograph and the floor are known.
Each machine is disconnected and bagged with its own cables, and the network layout is photographed before anything is unplugged.
We recommend it in every case. Files for imminent hearings should travel with you, not on the truck.
Yes, with every panel numbered so they go back in the original order. Disassembly includes reassembly.
Yes, billed monthly, entering and leaving against the same numbered manifest.
Yes, and it is the preferred window for professional practices because it costs no working day.
Yes, in person or by WhatsApp video, and the written price does not change afterwards.
